A hospitality building with five stories located near big ponds in the central Grand Cayman that creates landscaping with special views for all rooms and other areas of the building. The primary concept is to explore a Caribbean aesthetic that revives and enhances the rich culture of the local population, creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for all users. Always thinking about memory and the existing landscape.
The work with this project was mainly with drawings, planning design, and unit layout in collaboration with the principal of a renowned architecture office in the Cayman Islands.
Strategies to gain natural light and ventilation made a difference in the layout of the building, as well as the facade and materials selected at an early point in the scope.
